Off the beaten path

A hearty group of over-50 folks hiked 6-7 miles a day in the Lake Powell country of Arizona and Utah. This was an amazing Road Scholar hiking trip. The last day we were rewarded with Cathedral Wash inside Grand Canyon National Park, rated “difficult” by All Trails.

We were led by two experienced women. I read several books about the Colorado River and Glen Canyon before the trip. One of my best-ever travel experiences.
